Render to Reality | Gage Street Bathroom

There is something about getting ready for the day in a pretty space, a space that shouts your style, a space that is serene and calming before the daily grind and rush. These spaces impact our lives whether we realize it or not.

Meet the cutest littlest bathroom that holds a lot of responsibility as its the main bath of the home. But being little is a-ok, because the layout is super functional, and just enough room for a semi-empty-nester mom.

The super functional small footprint did the job, but needed a slight tweak to the cabinetry to give the best storage solution. Simplifying the space with removing a few cabinets that were unused and open to collect “stuff” was an idea the client could get on board with.

So why change a good thing you ask? The answer is easy, it was old and dated and broken, and it didn’t flow with the other rooms that were recently remodeled. It wasn’t their style anymore and if they are going to spend some length of time in the space each day, they wanted this space to bring them joy.

The wish list was simple, deeper soaking tub to replace the shallow aging in place tub, new tile that didn’t grow mold, new exhaust fan to replace the broken one, better cabinet layout in the existing space, new pretty potty, and make it flow with the other spaces while keeping it open and bright.

Having visuals was the key to this bathroom remodel. Knowing our client as we have worked on many other spaces in her home, we were able to hone in on the vibes, style and finishes pretty easily with our enhanced design package. This is where we spend a day on our guided selection trip, selecting all the perfect finishes that shouted the clients style and home. We could put those finishes into the 3D design to show her exactly what the end results would be like.

Being that this is the only full bath in the house, meant the client needed to find solutions to having this space be out of order and a builder who would be able to keep this baby moving along. We want to give a big shout out to John and his team at JD Builders for their exceptional work on this bathroom remodel!
